Amanda Wood

Owner / PR & Marketing Guru

Amanda Wood specializes in building relationships with people across organizations and businesses. Through her business experiences, personal endeavors and philanthropic desires, Amanda decided to become a business owner in July 2017 and created Avail Marketing, LLC.

Amanda strategically works with clients to create or further develop their marketing efforts to increase sales opportunities. Her clients range from startups to large corporations. Whether big or small, Amanda wants all of her clients to feel as though she is an extension of their team and business.

Working in the corporate world allowed Amanda to gain a lot of experience. From working at a global oil and gas company to small digital marketing and public relations agencies, Amanda was trained in graphic design, brand management and client relations. Throughout it all, she learned that it didn’t matter the size of the business. Each business had its own unique story that was told over and over again to its customers. At the end of the day, it's that story that gets the handshake and the deal.

Amanda believes every person and business has a story, and those who carefully craft that story into branded messages will be successful.

With a desire to give back to her community, Amanda dedicates herself to several, local nonprofit organizations. Some of these nonprofits include the American Heart Association, Canopy at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Love Heals Youth as well as Montgomery County Association of Business Women (MCABW). She also serves on the board of Montgomery County Women’s Council of Organizations (MCWCO) that holds its annual Women of Distinction luncheon.

Amanda, a native Texan, grew up in Kingwood and lived there throughout her years of commuting to the University of Houston where she graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in Communication - Public Relations / Advertising from the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication. In 2010, she and her family decided to move to The Woodlands where she lived for 12 years and built her business. In late 2022, she and her husband moved to Austin, Texas.

Avail can service anywhere; however, with a presence in Austin and The Woodlands Texas, we can service those cities and everywhere in between.

The definition of avail is “to be of use or value,” which is why Amanda chose that specific name for her company. She describes her business as her second baby, and she describes the process of naming it almost as difficult as it was to name her daughter, Alexis.

Community Involvement

Amanda has volunteered for many organizations in The Woodlands and surrounding areas. She believes it is important to give back to the community. Here are a few organizations we have partnered with and are proud to donate to these various causes.
